Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha Episode 15

Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha – If We Were Hoping For A Saad-Maheer Love Story, Apparently, That’s Not Happening!

Saad’s Refreshing Dialogues Do It Again!

“Mein hun tumhara kirdar, mujh mein dekho khudko, zulm mat karo mujh pe yaar” Though Saad’s dialogues are heart winning (as usual), but can the drama survive on such dialogues alone? Saad’s character is a breath of fresh air. The way he stands by Maheer, trusts her, and the loving manner in which he takes care of his chacha. We hope Saad will be an inspiration for future male lead characters.

A Plot We’ve Seen Play Out Multiple Times?

While we hoped we would witness a heartfelt journey of a gradual relationship between Maheer and Saad, based on love, respect and trust – a story of friends falling in love; MPHT is sadly taking the typical route of negativity, toxicity and worst of all, … sazishi plots. But can we keep watching the drama just to take in these beautiful dialogues from Saad?

Women Still Don’t Have The Liberty To Fall In Love!

Maheer’s situation shows us the mirror, the reality of this society. Agar larki mohabbat mein nakaam ho jaaye, ya mohhabbat ker ley to yeh us ka gunaah bun jata hai. She will never be forgiven for that. Girls are not now allowed to make a mistake. Maheer ney to ghalti ki bhi nahin thee. That is how judgmental we are as individuals. Do you feel Maheer’s pain?  She has to not only face character defamation, but also live with the fact that she is responsible for her father’s situation.

Is Maheer slowing down the journey?

But we question why Maheer’s character has no arc in it. There is no life, no growth and no clarity of thought in her. She seems like a walking, talking sleeping beauty…

Neelo & Her Judgment Calls!

Neelo’s honesty and her love for her brother is probably Maheer’s worst enemy, hitting her with those harsh sentences! Neelo jee, you forget you are also a girl. How can you trust someone else without even giving Maheer a chance to explain? The entire household is against Maheer, which is so disappointing. Even if Maheer was at fault, you cannot give outsiders the right to come and insult you or your family.

And Then The Conspiracies & Mad Kind Of Love!

Areeb’s craziness to get Maheer’s pictures printed in response to Faha just compromised the whole story line. The intensity of Areeb’s love could have been shown to be more dignified rather than presenting it as crazy, illogical and a childish kind of love. Faha, why oh why… we are tired of seeing the plotting and conniving!
